SPOONKART stands for innovative forms of contemporary visual art.
With an artist-in-residency, exhibition space and projects in the city and province, we are a young, new platform for contemporary art in Leeuwarden. Sometimes in the form of a converted Art Caravan that we use for performances & workshops at various locations in Leeuwarden and its surroundings, at other times with WNDRLND; a thematic exhibition that we organize every 2 years.
The program of SPOONK is exciting and diverse - we show art that seeks connection with the public. From a personal and professional involvement, we offer a platform to artists from home and abroad. Freedom, space for experimentation and deepening: at SPOONK, artistic development comes first.
