Donations and ANBI

SPOONK has been around for almost 25 years. Throughout this time, it has presented a continuous and rich program, both at the SPOONK location and at other venues, focusing on young, talented artists in combination with established artists. Donations have always been a stimulus for us to continue this work and are a welcome addition to our budget. This also applies to the future! Gifts are therefore welcome and (almost) tax deductible. SPOONK is in the process of obtaining a cultural ANBI status which can offer you additional tax benefits.

Cultural ANBI
SPOONK has applied for cultural ANBI status. If granted, it means that a donation is deductible under certain conditions. In addition, an extra deduction for gifts may apply. Individuals may deduct 1.25 times the amount of the gift in their income tax return. Companies subject to corporate tax may deduct 1.5 times the amount of the gift in their tax return.
The total amount of your gifts must be above the (relatively low) threshold amount, and you may not deduct more than the maximum for these gifts. Anything above the threshold amount is deductible. The maximum is 10% of your threshold income. Therefore, a gift to a cultural ANBI can be increased by 25%.
